News about the state of sown areas and a decrease in the forecast of crop production in Ukraine led to an increase in the demand for sunflower prices. The preformed price level for sunflower is about 20 thousand/ton.

In the near future, it is assumed that the price may increase to 20,000-23,000 t SRT.

Among the reasons for possible growth, it is worth noting the expectation of a lower harvest compared to last year, restrained sales of oil crops and high competition on the domestic market for volumes of quality raw materials. Since farmers plan to wait for more attractive prices, price support factors may not lose their relevance even during the period of mass harvesting of sunflowers.

The August forecast of 14.2 million tons is 3% below the July estimate and 4% below the 2023 estimate.
