This forecast was announced on Friday by Isobel Coleman, Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ukrinform reports.

“USAID invests in the agricultural sector of Ukraine from seed purchases to shipments,” the representative of the American agency said on the official page on the social network X.

In this regard, she also mentioned the provision of a pilot vessel for Ukraine’s transportation sector to maintain safe export routes along the Danube River.

“Forecasts show that exports will grow by about 15% this year, generating revenue that will help Ukraine defend itself and feed the world at the same time,” Coleman said.

According to preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in 2024, gross production of grains and oilseeds will amount to about 74 million tons. This is 8 million tons less than last year.
