Ukraine surpasses pre-war exports of products

In April 2024, Ukraine exported a record volume of products and surpassed pre-war figures. Total exports in April amounted to more than 13 million tons, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko said on Wednesday, May 1.

“In April, we had a record export volume of 13.1 million tons since Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine. This is 1.3 million tons more than in March. And more than Ukraine exported in February 2022. We continue to work on increasing exports, especially non-resource exports, as this is an important component of our ‘Made in Ukraine’ policy,” the Minister of Economy said.

In February 2024, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov announced that Ukraine plans to open a new export route along the Danube. The additional route will run from the Ukrainian port of Izmail to Romania’s Constanta and the Danube ports of Germany. The Infrastructure Ministry noted that the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company has already built a second large-capacity SLG barge for export cargo.
